The tragic events of October 7th caused an unprecedented surge in trauma and the need for mental health services across Israel for surviving victims, families of the victims, and, in the near future, for those coming back from combat duty. Lev Hasharon Mental Health Center has established a haven of healing for those seeking mental health support. The center provides care for approximately 1,500 psychiatric hospitalizations annually, and thousands more patients receive treatment in its various clinics. With your help, we can empower Lev Hasharon Mental Health Center to provide vital support to even more people experiencing trauma in the wake of recent events.

  • By treating sexual trauma

    Lev Hasharon is a mental health hospital that provides compassionate and comprehensive care to survivors of sexual trauma. The system addresses all aspects of trauma, from outpatient therapy to full hospitalization when necessary.

  • By treating addiction

    The hospital’s vision is to create a safe, enabling therapeutic environment for patients, where they can receive treatment for their mental distress alongside the process of physical detoxification and emotional coping with life after substance use.

  • By addressing issues of older patients

    Understanding the intricate interplay between age-related conditions and mental health is crucial. The psychogeriatric department at Lev Hasharon is new and spacious with a home like atmosphere, tailored to the unique needs of the older patients.

    Depression doesn't always respond to traditional treatments, that's why Lev Hasharon Mental Medical Center offers a comprehensive program for individuals struggling with treatment-resistant depression (TRD). Patients receive access to cutting-edge treatments like Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation, Ketamine Therapy, Vagus Nerve Stimulation and others.

  • Inbal Brenner

    Dr. Inbal Brenner, MD

    Psychiatrist, assistant director of Lev-Hasharon Mental Health Center & Director of its Sexual Trauma Clinic.

    Co-founder and chair of the Israeli Society for Sexual Trauma Treatment and Prevention (ISTT) which operates under the Israeli Medical Association.

    Dr. Brenner completed her residency in psychiatry at the Shalvata Hospital, where she founded a unit for treating victims of sexual assault, and worked as a psychiatric counselor at the Benafsheinu Bayit Cham multidisciplinary center for treating victims of sexual trauma in the ultra-Orthodox sector. In Lev Hasharon she has founded the Sexual Trauma Clinic and the Eating disorders & Trauma Day hospital Program, the only one of its kind in Israel.

    Since 2015, she has established, coordinated and taught courses on sexual trauma, PTSD and dissociation at Tel Aviv University’s School of Continuing Medical Education, and currently is co-head of the school’s two-year diploma studies for treating sexual trauma. Organized and Presented in numerous professional conferences. She is active in changing policy and raising awareness on the national level regarding sexual abuse and its effects and Complex PTSD, serving as a member of several advisory committees for the National Councils of Mental Health and of Women’s health. Her research interests include physical and emotional effects of trauma, recurrent sexual victimization, pharmacologic and psychosocial therapies for PTSD and Eating Disorders, published more than 10 articles in these fields.

    Alexandra Belinski


    Alexandra Belinski, MSW, is a licensed clinical social worker and certified psychotherapist, holding a Master’s degree in Clinical Social Work from Tel Aviv University. Alexandra serves as a clinical social worker and psychotherapist at the Netanya Adult Mental Health Clinic, an integral branch of the Lev-Hasharon Medical Center for Mental Health.

    Within the clinic, Alexandra is part of the Sexual Trauma unit and the Eating Disorders & Trauma day hospital program. She conducts mental health clinical assessments and provides treatment for adult patients from diverse backgrounds. Additionally, Alexandra offers individual counseling to students in a two-year diploma program.

    Specializing in PTSD and Complex PTSD, sexual trauma, dissociative disorders, and crisis intervention, Alexandra employs a combination of psychodynamic and EMDR therapy theories to guide her practice.

    Before embarking on her career in mental health, Alexandra dedicated over a decade to the field of informal Jewish education. Her extensive experience includes facilitating, researching, and planning informal Jewish education, with a particular focus on Russian-speaking young adults in the USA, Israel, and the former Soviet Union.

    During 2007-2010, Alexandra served as a JAFI (Jewish Agency for Israel) emissary to the FSU émigrés community in the Jewish Federation of San Francisco and the Bay Area. In this role, she spearheaded the launch of a groundbreaking educational program for Russian-speaking Jewish young adults and founded a leadership development initiative aimed at nurturing potential lay leaders within the community.
